Island Unije

Unije, is an island in the Kvarner Gulf in front of the north-western coast of Losinj. It consists of limestone; the limestone bedrock in the south-west is covered with sand deposits. The island is hilly and covered with dwarf Mediterranean underbrush. The poorly indented western coast of the island is mostly steep, while the eastern coast comprises a number of smaller and larger coves.
